Year 3 of Governor Ben Evardone’s Provincial Paid Teachers (PPT)
During the pandemic, the PPT was launched to help assist mainstream teachers of DepEd in off-classroom modular teaching and we’re known as teaching facilitators.
This year, PPT are being rehired and further recruited to provide opportunities for jobless academicians who are to specifically help combat the ever growing problem of students’ deteriorating reading skills that greatly affect their quality education. These PPT are to solely focus on remedial reading special classes especially those in the Grade 3 (who were grades 1 and 2 during the pandemic) and levels up whose reading abilities have been wanting so much focus in the effective teaching of reading, alongside with the skills that go with it – verbalization or sound production, comprehension, critical thinking, analysis, and practical application.
Orientation meetings are conducted in the different municipalites in the province with Sir Phres Evardone, Executive Assistant III, representing the Provincial Government, and DepEd Schools Division Superintendent Bernardo Adina spearheading the team.
It is hoped that with the rehiring and augmentation of PPTs in the province, this will improve and realize more quality education for all.
